Our Statement of Beliefs
We believe that God is One (Echad) (Deut. 6:4-6; Gen. 1:1 & John 1:1; 1 Tim. 2:5).
We believe that Jewish and non-Jewish people have been called to Shema – to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind and strength (Deut. 6: 4-9); and that we are to love our neighbour as ourselves (Lev. 19:18) – (Mark 12:29-31).
We believe the Jewish people are God’s people (His first-born son – Exo 4:22), chosen to demonstrate His love and grace through Israel to be a light to the Nations (Isa 49:6). The calling of Israel is irrevocable (Rom. 11:29); the covenants between God and Israel are eternal (Isa. 61:8).

We believe God created the Shabbat as an eternal covenant gift for humanity to rest, abide in His presence, and obey the fourth commandment (Genesis 2:1-3; Exo 34:21; Isa. 58:13-14). As a fellowship, we gather on a Shabbat to honour this appointed time and delight in the One who made it for our good.
We believe that God the Father and Yeshua are Echad (one) (Deut 6:4; John 10:30); that Yeshua is the spoken and living Torah, the Word of God (John 1:1, 14), and that when He says ‘If you love me, keep My commandments’ (John 14:15), He is pointing us directly to Himself as the Living Torah of His inmost being (Psa 40:8).
We believe that Yeshua was the physical agent and embodiment of God (Phil. 2:6-7), who came to earth (John 14:9)
- To perfectly fulfil the commandments and instructions of Torah (John 19:28, 30);
- As the promised kinsman redeemer of Israel (Psa 31:5) who suffered and died for our sin, iniquities, and transgressions (Isa. 53) in order that we can enter the covenant of shalom (Isa. 54);
- To atone for our sin in order that we can be reconciled to the Father and be in relationship with Him (Isa 52:15; Col 1:19-20);
- That we may be redeemed, forgiven, justified and sanctified into the image and likeness of God (Gen. 1:26);
- In victory over sin and death (Gen 3:15), Messiah Yeshua is the firstfruits (Lev 23:20) and the hope of our faith in God the Father (1 Cor 15:22-23).
- We are believers in Messiah Yeshua who proclaim the Besorah (the Good News of repentance – Matt 4:17) about the Kingdom of Heaven, as proclaimed by the Apostles (Acts 2:37-38).
We believe that the Ruach HaKodesh is the Spirit of G_d, who lives and abides in all those who call upon His name for: wisdom (Exo 36:1); for might (2 Sam 6:14); for utterances (1 Sam 10:10; 19:23; Acts 2:4, 7-8); for life (Eze 37); for miracles (1 Kg 17:23; Acts 4:16, 22) and for other purposes that glorify the Lord (Isa 11:2-3). The Ruach teaches, reminds, helps and empowers us (John 14:26, 15:26), as was evident with the first Jewish believers in Jerusalem (Act 2:16ff in partial fulfilment of Joel 3).
We believe that Israel is the Bride of Messiah, and that the church HAS NOT replaced nor superseded Israel.
- For the non-Jewish person, they are grafted into the Branch; for the ‘grafted-in’ cannot survive without the root / the main trunk to what we have been grafted into (Rom. 11).
We believe the Messianic non-Jewish person is grafted into the Commonwealth of Israel through the covenant of promise (Eph. 2:12). The non-Jewish person
- Desires to be faithful to Torah, not for salvation through works, but for our love of God (as a child pleases their father, so we seek to be faithful to Torah to glorify Adonai through Messiah Yeshua);
- Desires to be obedient (faithful) to the commandments in Torah – Deut. 30:10-14;
- Desires to be obedient to the commandments of Yeshua (as expressed in the Brit Hadashah (Gospels) – that is, to take up His execution-stake daily and follow Him (Luke 9:23) AND to go into the world and make disciples, immersing them into the Father, Son and Ruach HaKodesh, to teach them to obey everything we have been commanded by our Master (Matt. 28:19-20);
- Desires to keep (Shema) the Appointed Times, because they are God’s appointed times, preserved by the Jewish people;
- Chooses to adopt some Jewish customs in so far as they bring glory to God, glory to Yeshua Ha-Mashiach, and glory to the Ruach HaKodesh. For example, praying the Shema; Amidah; Kaddish; Kiddish; prayers from the Siddur.
We believe that Jewish believers in the God of Israel through Messiah Yeshua are sons and daughters of Abraham. Our identity is Jewish and remains Jewish (Isaiah 41:8, 44:1-3; Acts 15; 1 Peter 2:9).
We believe that non-Jewish believers in the God of Israel through Messiah Yeshua are also sons and daughters of Abraham, being adopted into the extended family of God (Isaiah 44:5; Rom 11:17; 1 Peter 2:9)
We believe we are called to fulfil the purpose that God has given us (Deut. 30:19-20) and proclaim the Besorah (Good News) to Jew and Gentile – repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand (Matt. 4:16,17 and Acts 2:38); and delight in God’s Torah (Ps. 1:2) by:
- Transforming Lives by the Power of the Gospel – to the Jew first and equally to the Gentile (Rom. 1:16) for deliverance from the power of death (Genesis 2:17).
We believe Messiah Yeshua will either return in our day or receive us into His eternal presence, for He is our firstfruits and the guarantee of everlasting life with Him (1 Cor 15:22-23).
Deut. 29:28 “The secret things belong to Adonai our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever – in order to do all the words of this Torah.” (TLV)
