‘Appointed Times’ and important dates
We join with Jewish people worldwide in celebrating the Mo’edim (Appointed Times) given by the Lord to Israel, beginning with Shabbat. Our community observes:
- Shabbat – every seventh day set apart as holy
- Pesach (Passover)
- Unleavened Bread
- First Fruits
- Shavuot (Weeks)
- Yom Teruah (Rosh Hashana / Trumpets)
- Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement)
- Sukkot (Tabernacles)
We also love to gather as a congregation for two additional joyful times: Purim and Hanukkah.
